Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

Dear Rotarians,

This marks the 40th year of RYLA. Over 4300 students have had the opportunity to participate in this rewarding 4-day leadership conference. We are excited, once again, to be offering our session at Pacific Lutheran University. The dates of the RYLA conference will be March 5-8, 2009.

Cost per student: $300.00 (to be paid by sponsoring Rotary Club.) This will cover room, board, and registration. The sponsoring Rotary Club will provide transportation to and from RYLA.

The campus is beautifully equipped with all the facilities to conduct a seminar geared to helping young people carry forward an exciting program of self-discovery. The conference will consist of nationally renowned speakers who emphasize leadership, motivation and communication skills, as well as, recreation and fellowship. It is a weekend to remember for all students attending.

We are pleased and proud of what RYLA has achieved and we feel that RYLA is moving on its way to even greater heights of achievement. The spots fill up fast, and in the past we’ve had to turn down last minute requests because we are full.
